So Microsoft is open sourcing PowerShell and putting it on Linux. Realistically Linux already has a full suite of administrative tools and some very powerful scripting languages that I feel do anything you’d want to do with PowerShell, but faster and safer. However, it makes me wonder how long it will take the folks over at PowerShell Empire to turn this recent development into a very handy tool for administering other people’s Windows systems from the comfort of your *nix based machine. https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/powershell/2016/08/18/powershell-on-linux-and-open-source-2/
This article is a little older, but I’d missed it initially, this past week @EthanRobish mentioned it to me and having not seen it he sent a link. The article itself is a great read, and *cough, puts on tinfoil hat* I have always said that with something as important as an election I’d personally be totally surprised if it weren’t being hacked at some level.
