Renee Troiani joined Black Hills Information Security (BHIS) in 2023 as a Software/Web Developer (after interning with the team for several months). In this role, she has been working with Antisyphon Training on their website where she adds content, tweaks themes, writes custom code, and implements new features which helps keep everything running smoothly. Previously, Renee worked two jobs: Primarily as Assistant Director at Code Ninjas, where she managed customer relations and taught children aged 5-14 how to code and other various STEM concepts through game development; on the side, she was a server at a chain restaurant. She wanted to join BHIS after meeting the owners, John and Erica, and feeling that the company truly cares about the work they do and their employees. She thinks the best part is being part of a team that supports and believes in her abilities and being given opportunities to work on projects that she says is “rarely given to junior developers at other organizations.” Outside of work, Renee enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and snowboarding, hanging out with her dogs, and playing video games.
